7th Spray of Christmas

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

“On the 7th Spray of Christmas, my aromatherapist made for me…” Today is Day 7!

Laundry Spray

I am calling this a laundry spray, but it can be used for any type of linens.

This is a great spray to use on sheets, or clothes just coming out of the laundry to give them a fresh scent.

Many people cannot use the harsh fragrances that come in dryer sheets. This spray is a great alternative.

You can also spray on your curtains to freshen those up as well.

The scent of this spray will have you thinking this just came off the clothesline outside.

Lovely Lemongrass

Lemongrass essential oil has a lemony aroma and is considered a purifying essential oil.

This oil is a perfect choice for freshening up your laundry, and it is also great to use in DIY cleaning products.

This essential oil can be irritating to those with sensitive skin. This is not a body spray, so try to avoid using this directly on your skin if your skin is sensitive.

Cedarwood Chips

Cedarwood essential oil has a woodsy aroma and is very calming.

This one is also purifying, but the relaxing qualities make for a great addition to your laundry freshener.

If you do not have Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana) essential oil, you can use Cedarwood Atlas (Cedrus atlantica) essential oil. I prefer to save my Cedarwood Atlas for things such as my congestion blends.

Pink Grapefruit

Pink Grapefruit essential oil has an uplifting citrus aroma.

This essential oil is also purifying and is also great for cleaning.

Pink Grapefruit essential oil brings in a balance to this refreshing laundry spray.

Here is all you need

2 oz Spray Bottle

2 oz Distilled Water

5 drops Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus) Essential Oil

5 drops Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana) Essential Oil

5 drops Pink Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) Essential Oil

Mix together, shake before each use, and spray all over laundry before folding.

This spray is intended to freshen up your laundry, so try not to over spray where your laundry is now damp due to how much you are spraying.

Comment below if you end up making this! I would love to know what you thought of it.

Thank you for reading!

Love and Nature,

Nicole
