1st Spray of Christmas

Updated: Aug 27, 2022

“On the 1st Spray of Christmas, my aromatherapist made for me…” Today is Day 1!

The Wake-Up Spray

Distiller for making both essential oils and hydrosols

Since I am going to be using Hydrosols in a few of my 12 Sprays of Christmas recipes, I should briefly explain what a hydrosol is. A hydrosol is the water left over from a distillation process when making essential oils. Hydrosols do have some of the same therapeutic properties as their essential oil counter parts.

Since it is water based, it is very safe for all ages.

I also like to pour mine into amber colored bottles to keep light from compromising the shelf life of my hydrosols.

Another option is to keep them in the refrigerator.

Now for this Wake-Up Spray! I love Peppermint hydrosol as a pick me up for a face spray. This is a great way to start off the morning. Peppermint hydrosol is calming and soothing to the skin especially if you had a rough night.

This is a great spray to have where there is still so much to do and you need that quick pick me up in the morning.

Here is all you need:

Mix together in your 2 oz spray bottle and spray all over your face and neck.

*You can just use the full 2 oz of hydrosol, but I do like to dilute mine. Use as needed.

Comment below if you end up making this! I would love to know what you thought of it.

*If the hydrosol in the link is sold out, this is another Peppermint Hydrosol I love to use.

Thank you for reading!

Love and Nature,

Nicole
